Hello my name is Barbara.
I was born back east, and raised in the Sacramento/San Joaquin River Delta of
California.
We lived on one of the islands, ( Ryer Island )
it's about three miles outside the small delta
town of Rio Vista. In order to get there we had
to use one of two ferry's The Real
McCoy Or the The J-Mack They
said the island is about 30 miles around, as the
crow flies.
( In this case sea-gulls )
That brought back a memory! My Dad plowing the
fields. That always brought the birds down.
Pretty site all those birds in the newly plowed
fields. Such a hard working man. And how he
loved to go fishing. Sure miss him.
I now live in
Stockton I still have
the Delta a few minutes away. Great fishing and
water sports around here, all that water and I
never did learn how to ski.
We are so centrally located that we only need a
few hours to go anywhere. The beach or to the
mountains even the BIG CITIES...
Yosemite National Park is one of the most
beautiful places I have ever seen.
I married my high-school sweetheart,
but
sorry to say we divorced after 28 years. We
have two great sons named John and Matthew.
John is married to Cristina. They have three
kids.
Jacqueline, Jessica, and Jacob. And
for
some reason all three have the same initials as
their father. I wonder why?
Matthew is/was married to Carrie. They
have one daughter.....
